The 2005 Tulane Green Wave football team represented Tulane University in the 2005 NCAA Division I-A football season. Their home stadium, the Louisiana Superdome, was damaged by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005 and forced the Green Wave to play the entire season on the road with "home" games being played at five different stadiums in Louisiana and one in Alabama.{{cite web|title=Tulane Athletics and the Katrina Semester|url=http://www.tulanegreenwave.com/sports/hurr-katrina/spec-rel/112205aab.html|publisher=Tulane Athletics|date=November 21, 2005|access-date=October 18, 2012|archive-date=November 19, 2012|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20121119111931/http://www.tulanegreenwave.com/sports/hurr-katrina/spec-rel/112205aab.html|url-status=dead}} They competed in the West Division of Conference USA.
