- Anvil Mining of Australia bought the Kinsevere, Tshiufa and Nambulwa mines, north-west of Lubumbashi, Mining Company Katanga (MCK), controlled by Moïse Katumbi, governor of Katanga Province. MCK acquired the mines from Gécamines when it was privatized.{{cite web
