Teams
Inđija and Čukarički were relegated to the 2011–12 Serbian First League after the 2010–11 season for finishing in 15th and 16th place, respectively. Čukarički completed a four-year tenure in the league, while Inđija had to immediately return to the First League.
The relegated teams were replaced by 2010–11 First League runners-up Radnički 1923 and third placed Novi Pazar. Radnički will be returning to the top tier for the first time since the season 2001–02. Novi Pazar was granted promotion after 2010–11 First League champions BASK withdrew from the SuperLiga.{{cite news |url=http://www.fss.rs/sr/news/newsArchive/story/3598/%D0%9E%D0%B4%D1%80%D0%B6%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B0+24.+%D1%81%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%86%D0%B0+%D0%98%D0%B7%D0%B2%D1%80%D1%88%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B3+%D0%BE%D0%B4%D0%B1%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%B0+%28%D0%92%D0%98%D0%94%D0%95%D0%9E%29.html |title=Одржана 24. седница Извршног одбора |date=11 July 2011 |work=fss.rs |access-date=11 July 2011 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110816033157/http://fss.rs/sr/news/newsArchive/story/3598/%D0%9E%D0%B4%D1%80%D0%B6%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B0+24.+%D1%81%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%86%D0%B0+%D0%98%D0%B7%D0%B2%D1%80%D1%88%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B3+%D0%BE%D0%B4%D0%B1%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%B0+(%D0%92%D0%98%D0%94%D0%95%D0%9E).html |archive-date=16 August 2011 |url-status=dead }} This will be their first season in top-tier competition.
