The 2012 Brunei Super League was the first season of the Brunei Super League. It was organized by the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam and sponsored by DST Group. It began in December 2012 with ten teams vying for the championship in its inaugural edition.{{cite web |title=INAUGURAL DST SUPER LEAGUE 2012-2013 BEGINS FRIDAY|url=https://www.aseanfootball.org/v3/dst-super-league-begins-friday/|date=11 December 2012|publisher=ASEAN Football Federation|accessdate=10 May 2024}}

On 26 January 2013, Indera SC defeated Najip FC twenty goals to one, which produced as of 2024 the highest-scoring match in the history of the Brunei Super League. {{cite web |title=INDERA SC PUMMEL NAJIP FOR TWENTY|url=https://www.aseanfootball.org/v3/indera-sc-pummel-najip-for-twenty/|date=29 January 2013|publisher=ASEAN Football Federation|accessdate=10 May 2024}} Exactly a week later, MS ABDB beat the same team with the score of 11–1, with goalkeeper Suhandi Mahali scoring a penalty in the game, making him the first goalkeeper to score in the Super League, and third overall in Brunei football history.{{cite web |title=MS ABDB back on top after Najip thrashing|url=https://msabdbft.blogspot.com/2013/02/ms-abdb-back-on-top-after-najip.html|date=2 February 2013|publisher=The Brunei Times|accessdate=10 May 2024}}
