The 2012 Vattenfall Cyclassics was the 17th running of the Vattenfall Cyclassics single-day cycling race. It was held, in and around Hamburg, Germany, on 19 August over a distance of {{convert|245.9|km|1|abbr=off}} and was the twenty-third race of the 2012 UCI World Tour season.

In a mass sprint finish, the race was won by {{UCI team code|FDJ|2012}} rider Arnaud Démare,{{cite news|url=http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/vattenfall-cyclassics-2012/results|first=Susan|last=Westemeyer|title=Demare wins Vattenfalls Cyclassics|work=Cycling News|publisher=Future Publishing Limited|date=19 August 2012|accessdate=19 August 2012}} who became the first French rider to take victory in the event. As the Vattenfall Cyclassics was a UCI World Tour event, all 18 UCI ProTeams were invited automatically and obligated to send a squad.
