The 2013 Minnesota Twins season was the 53rd season for the franchise in Minnesota, and the 113th overall in the American League.
The Twins started the 2013 season on April 1, with a game against the Detroit Tigers (losing Opening Day 4-2).{{cite web| url = https://www.espn.com/mlb/team/schedule/_/name/min/minnesota-twins| title = 2022 Minnesota Twins Schedule {{!}} ESPN}} The Twins ended their season with a 5–1 loss against the Cleveland Indians.{{Cite web | url=https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/indians/2013/09/29/cleveland-indians-playoff-berth-beat-twins-wild-card-clinch/2892367/ | title=Indians are in: They clinch wild card with 5-1 victory | website=USA Today }}

The team continued to struggle with offense and bullpen rotation, despite the off-season acquisitions of veterans Vance Worley, Mike Pelfrey and Kevin Correia.{{cite web| url = http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/min/the-twins-avoided-the-cellar-in-the-american-league-central-for-the-first-time-since-2010-but-finished-with-more-than-90-losses-for-a-third-straight-y?ymd=20130930&content_id=62117858&vkey=news_min| url-status = dead| archive-url = https://web.archive.org/web/20131006020410/http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/min/the-twins-avoided-the-cellar-in-the-american-league-central-for-the-first-time-since-2010-but-finished-with-more-than-90-losses-for-a-third-straight-y?ymd=20130930&content_id=62117858&vkey=news_min| archive-date = 2013-10-06| title = The Twins avoided the cellar in the American League Central for the first time since 2010 but finished with more than 90 losses for a third straight year {{!}} twinsbaseball.com: News}}
