On 12 June 2014, a drawing of lots in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, determined the team's pairing for each match. Each team played a home and an away match with result points awarded for each leg (3 points for 3–0 or 3–1 wins, 2 points for 3–2 win, 1 point for 2–3 loss). After two legs, the team with the most result points advanced to the next round. In case the teams were tied after two legs, a {{em|Golden Set}} was played immediately at the completion of the second leg. The Golden Set winner is the team that first obtains 15 points, provided that the points difference between the two teams is at least 2 points (thus, the Golden Set is similar to a tiebreak set in a normal match).{{cite web|url=http://www.cev.lu/Competition-Area/Competition.aspx?ID=741&PID=-1|title=2015 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Women - Format|website=CEV|accessdate=19 March 2017|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140922020315/http://www.cev.lu/Competition-Area/competition.aspx?ID=741&PID=-1|archive-date=22 September 2014|url-status=dead}}{{cite web|url=http://www.cev.lu/Competition-Area/CompetitionNews.aspx?ID=741&NewsID=17659&TagType=0&TagContent=0&NewsType=0&Paging=3&Sd=1/1/1900&Ed=1/1/1900|title=European Cups DOL sets stage for exciting season ahead|website=CEV|date=12 June 2014|accessdate=19 March 2017|archive-date=22 March 2017|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170322020044/http://www.cev.lu/Competition-Area/CompetitionNews.aspx?ID=741&NewsID=17659&TagType=0&TagContent=0&NewsType=0&Paging=3&Sd=1%2F1%2F1900&Ed=1%2F1%2F1900|url-status=dead}}
