Format
Over the course of a season, which runs annually from January to July, each team plays twice against the others in the league, once at 'home' and once 'away'. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. The teams are ranked in the league table by points gained, then goal difference, then goals scored and then their head-to-head record for that season.{{cite web |url=http://www.laoff.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=13&Itemid=121 |title=Lao's Top League |publisher=Lao Football Federation |access-date=2013-01-17 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130915180537/http://laoff.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=13&Itemid=121 |archive-date=2013-09-15 |url-status=dead }}
