The 2016 Netball Quad Series was the second Netball Quad Series series. It was co-hosted by Netball Australia and Netball New Zealand. After the one off 2012 Netball Quad Series, the series was relaunched in 2016. It was initially referred to as the International Netball Super Series. It featured Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa playing each other in a series of six netball test matches in August and September 2016.{{cite web|url=http://www.mynetball.co.nz/silver-ferns/news/latest-news/5242-sanzea-launch-international-netball-super-series.html|title=SANZEA launch International Netball Super Series|publisher=www.mynetball.co.nz|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160308112052/http://www.mynetball.co.nz/silver-ferns/news/latest-news/5242-sanzea-launch-international-netball-super-series.html|archive-date=8 March 2016|date=4 March 2016|access-date=23 January 2025}}{{cite web|url=http://nsw.netball.com.au/internationals/sanzea-launch-international-netball-super-series/|title=SANZEA launch Super series|publisher=nsw.netball.com.au|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160818102310/http://nsw.netball.com.au/internationals/sanzea-launch-international-netball-super-series/|archive-date=18 August 2016|date=8 March 2016|access-date=23 January 2025}}{{cite web|url=https://diamonds.netball.com.au/news/brief-history-netball-quad-series|title=A brief history of the Netball Quad Series|publisher=diamonds.netball.com.au|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230113230713/https://diamonds.netball.com.au/news/brief-history-netball-quad-series|archive-date=13 January 2023|access-date=23 January 2025|date=6 January 2023}} With a team coached by Lisa Alexander and captained by Clare McMeniman, Australia won the series, securing the title with a 60–55 win against New Zealand.{{cite web|url=https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/netball/83869518/diamonds-captain-clare-mcmeniman-makes-up-for-lost-time|title=Diamonds captain Clare McMeniman makes up for lost time|publisher=www.stuff.co.nz|date=4 September 2016|accessdate=29 September 2020}}{{Cite web|url=http://netball.com.au/diamonds-named-winners-netball-quad-series/|title=Diamonds named winners of Netball Quad Series|publisher=netball.com.au|date=4 September 2016|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160909222304/https://netball.com.au/diamonds-named-winners-netball-quad-series/|access-date=30 December 2024|archive-date=9 September 2016}}{{Cite web|url=https://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-09-04/diamonds-beat-silver-ferns-in-quad-series-final/7813038|title=Australia beats New Zealand 60-55 in Quad Series final in Melbourne|publisher=www.abc.net.auz|date=4 September 2016|accessdate=19 January 2023}}{{Cite web|url=https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/sep/04/australia-edge-new-zealand-in-bruising-encounter-to-claim-quad-series-title|title=Australia edge New Zealand in bruising encounter to claim Quad Series title|publisher=www.theguardian.com|date=4 September 2016|accessdate=19 January 2023}}{{cite web|url=https://womensportreport.com/diamonds-named-winners-of-netball/wn/20135|title=Diamonds named winners of Netball Quad Series|publisher=womensportreport.com|date=5 September 2016|accessdate=4 October 2020}}{{cite web|url=https://netball.com.au/sites/default/files/2019-06/Annual-Report-2016.pdf|title=Netball Australia – Annual Report 2016|publisher=netball.com.au|access-date=13 May 2021}} The series was broadcast live on Fox Sports in Australia, on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom and Ireland, on Sky Sport in New Zealand and on SuperSport (South Africa).{{cite web|url=https://www.englandnetball.co.uk/watch-inaugural-quad-series-sky-sports/|title=Watch the inaugural Quad Series on Sky Sports!|publisher=www.englandnetball.co.uk|accessdate=1 January 2025|date=22 August 2016}}{{cite web|url=https://netball-sa.co.za/quad-series-broadcast-times/|title=Quad series Live|publisher=netball-sa.co.za|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20210411020319/https://netball-sa.co.za/quad-series-broadcast-times/|archive-date=11 April 2021|access-date=1 January 2025|date=25 August 2016}}{{cite web|url=https://www.nswis.com.au/nswis-news/diamonds-ready-for-netball-quad-series/|title=Diamonds ready for Netball Quad Series|publisher=www.nswis.com.au|date=26 August 2016|access-date=1 January 2025}}{{cite web|url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5QklMVeyDo|title=2016 Quad Series – NZL v ENG Wrap|publisher=www.youtube.com|accessdate=1 January 2025|date=27 August 2016}}{{cite web|url=https://www.englandnetball.co.uk/roses-face-diamonds-adelaide/|title=Roses face the Diamonds in Adelaide|publisher=www.englandnetball.co.uk|accessdate=1 January 2025|date=30 August 2016}}
