The 2017 European Junior Championship was the 13th European Junior Championship. It was held from July 14 to July 16, 2017 in Paris.{{cite web | title = EJC 2017 tournament lineup is set | publisher = IFAF | website = eurobowl.info | date = 18 Nov 2016 | url = http://www.eurobowl.info/index.php?Inhalt=newsmeldung&ID=1905 | accessdate = 23 Dec 2016 | archive-date = 23 December 2016 | archive-url = https://web.archive.org/web/20161223135400/http://www.eurobowl.info/index.php?Inhalt=newsmeldung&ID=1905 | url-status = dead }}
Qualification
A total of eight teams reported to enter for qualification. Therefore, two four-nation tournaments were scheduled, with the winners of these tournaments earning a spot for the final tournament in Paris. Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Switzerland were grouped together while the other tournament was planned with Serbia, Italy, Russia and Hungary. As a consequence of the conflict of two organisations, both claiming to be the real IFAF, some weeks before the start of the qualification, a second European Junior Championship was announced to be held in Denmark.{{cite web|url=http://www.americanfootballinternational.com/denmark-host-country-u19-european-championship/ |title=Both Denmark and France to hold contending European Junior Championships this summer |website=americanfootballinternational.com |accessdate=16 Jun 2017 |date=13 Mar 2017}} Russia and Hungary thus withdrew their participation in the Serbian qualification tournament.{{cite web|url=http://www.americanfootballinternational.com/italy-downs-team-serbia-qualify-ifaf-paris-european-junior-championships/ |title=Italy downs Team Serbia to qualify for IFAF Paris European Junior Championships |website=americanfootballinternational.com |accessdate=16 Jun 2017 |date=8 May 2017}}
