The 2022 Malaysia FA Cup was the 32nd edition of the Malaysia FA Cup, a knockout competition for Malaysian association football clubs. The winners, if eligible, would be assured a place in the 2023–24 AFC Cup group stage.{{cite web|url=https://www.malaysianfootballleague.com/results/?lid=328|title=RESULTS|publisher=MFL|access-date=4 March 2022}} 34 teams entered the competition.

Kedah Darul Aman were the defending champions after winning the 2019 Malaysia FA Cup.{{cite web|url=https://www.thestar.com.my/sport/football/2019/07/27/kedah-wins-fa-cup|title=Kedah wins fifth FA Cup title with 1–0 victory over Perak|publisher=The Star|access-date=27 July 2019}} The 2020 edition was abandoned midway during the tournament, and the 2021 edition was not played, both due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia.
