The 2025 Pakistan Super League (referred to as HBL PSL X for sponsorship reasons) was the tenth season of the Pakistan Super League. Established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015 as a franchise Twenty20 cricket league, it is played between six teams in a double round robin and page playoff system.

Originally scheduled to take place across four cities in Pakistan from 11 April to 18 May 2025, the league was delayed to 25 May amid the 2025 India–Pakistan conflict. In the final, Lahore Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators by 6 wickets, becoming the second team to win the PSL title for the third time.{{Cite web |access-date=25 May 2025 |title=Kusal Perera, Sikandar Raza take Lahore Qalandars to title with record chase |url=https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/pakistan-super-league-2025-1434269/quetta-gladiators-vs-lahore-qalandars-final-1475271/match-report |work=ESPN Cricinfo}}

Background

In May 2024, the PCB planned the league's tenth season to take place from April to May to host the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy during February and March. This meant that the tournament's schedule coincided for the first time with that of 2025 Indian Premier League. The season is the last under the ten-year agreement for a six-team structure, HBL Pakistan's title sponsorship, and the current broadcast rights deals.{{efn|In 2019, rights for Multan Sultans were sold for seven years.{{cite news |title=Ali Tareen clarifies stance on Multan Sultans' franchise fee issue |url=https://cricketpakistan.com.pk/en/news/detail/ali-tareen-clarifies-stance-on-multan-sultans-franchise-fee-issue |access-date=8 April 2025 |work=Cricket Pakistan |date=31 July 2019 |archive-date=14 January 2025 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20250114063757/https://cricketpakistan.com.pk/en/news/detail/ali-tareen-clarifies-stance-on-multan-sultans-franchise-fee-issue |url-status=live }} The other five teams existed since the league's formation in 2016, along with HBL's title sponsorship.{{cite news |title=Karachi attracts highest bid as PSL teams sold for $93 million |url=https://www.dawn.com/news/1223992 |access-date=8 April 2025 |work=Dawn |date=3 December 2015}}{{cite news |title=HBL Celebrates a Decade of HBLPSL (2016-2025) |url=https://profit.pakistantoday.com.pk/2025/04/10/hbl-celebrates-a-decade-of-hblpsl-2016-2025 |access-date=29 April 2025 |work=Profit by Pakistan Today |date=10 April 2025 |archive-date=10 April 2025 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20250410172147/https://profit.pakistantoday.com.pk/2025/04/10/hbl-celebrates-a-decade-of-hblpsl-2016-2025/ |url-status=live }} The broadcast rights were last awarded in 2024 for two years.{{cite news|url=https://cricketpakistan.com.pk/en/news/detail/psl-broadcasting-rights-sold-for-rs-63-billion|title=PSL broadcasting rights sold for Rs. 6.3 billion|date=10 January 2024|access-date=10 January 2024|work=Cricket Pakistan|archive-date=9 January 2024|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20240109212526/https://cricketpakistan.com.pk/en/news/detail/psl-broadcasting-rights-sold-for-rs-63-billion|url-status=live}}}} The PCB plans to expand the league to eight teams from 2026.{{cite news |author=Mohammad Yaqoob |title=Franchises, PCB all but agree over eight-team PSL, April-May window |url=https://www.dawn.com/news/1834150 |access-date=2 April 2025 |work=Dawn |date=18 May 2024}}{{cite news |title=PSL planned for expansion with hefty price tags for new teams in 2026 |url=https://tribune.com.pk/story/2534575/h |access-date=2 April 2025 |work=The Express Tribune |date=16 March 2025}}
