The bus was driving on mountainous route with many twists and turns in the Yocalla Municipality, Potosí Department, Bolivia on 17 February 2025. Officials said the vehicle plunged almost {{Convert|800|m|ft}} into a ravine possibly due to high speed, after the driver lost control. The crash killed 31 people.
