The 23rd Street viaduct, known as the (East) Kansas Avenue Bridge in Kansas, is an automobile crossing of the Kansas River, south of the Rock Island Bridge. Though it is entirely in Kansas City, Kansas, one half leads to Kansas City, Missouri, where Kansas Avenue becomes Avenida César E. Chávez, known as 23rd Street until 1994.{{Cite news |url=https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-kansas-city-star-chavez-remembered-w/135731052/ |date=April 24, 1994 |page=B-7 |first=Bill |last=Norton |title=Chavez remembered with parade, street |newspaper=The Kansas City Star |location=Kansas City, Missouri |via=Newspapers.com |access-date=November 25, 2023 |archive-date=November 25, 2023 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20231125054216/https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-kansas-city-star-chavez-remembered-w/135731052/ |url-status=live }} The span is {{convert|1395|ft|m}} long.
