From 1926 to 1929, while they were named Budai 33, legendary Hungarian footballer Pál Titkos played for the club. It was his first senior team.

The club was dissolved in 1958.

In 2011 a new club with the same name was founded, which hitherto has been playing in the lower amateur leagues.{{cite web|url=http://33fc.hu/|title=33 FC Official website|date=23 May 2015|publisher=33FC.hu|access-date=23 May 2015|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20151014132208/http://33fc.hu/|archive-date=14 October 2015|url-status=dead}}
