45 Fremont Street is a 34-story, {{convert|476|ft|abbr=on}} office skyscraper in the Financial District of San Francisco, California between Market Street and Mission Street. Completed in 1978, the tower is often referenced as the Bechtel Building because of the spill over of offices from the Bechtel Corporation world headquarters next door at 50 Beale Street.{{cite news | title = Law firm subleases portion of Slack’s former Financial District office | first = Hannah | last = Kanik | newspaper = San Francisco Business Times | date = March 7, 2024 | access-date = April 26, 2025 | url = https://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/news/2024/03/07/law-firm-dechert-slack-salesforce-lease-office.html }}
In 2017, Blackstone obtained a 49.6% stake in the building for reportedly over $230 million, but wrote its investment down to zero in 2023 due to "the well-known headwinds facing U.S. traditional office buildings at the time".{{cite news | title = One S.F. office building sells to tech firm with another downtown tower due to hit market | first = Laura | last = Waxmann | newspaper = San Francisco Chronicle | date = April 17, 2025 | access-date = April 18, 2025 | url = https://www.sfchronicle.com/realestate/article/s-f-office-building-sells-another-up-for-sale-20281123.php }}
