The AEC Regent I was a double-decker bus chassis manufactured by AEC from 1929 to 1942.

History

The AEC Regent was a bus chassis introduced by AEC in 1929.[https://web.archive.org/web/20211019205820/http://www.nationaltransportmuseum.org/b002.html The AEC Regent - Ahead of its Time] National Transport Museum of Ireland Twelve pre-production examples had been completed by July 1929, with mainstream production commencing in October 1929.{{cite book|last=Thackray|first=Brian|title=The AEC Story: From the Regent to the Monarch|year=2012|publisher=Amberley Publishing|location=Stroud|isbn=9781445603902}} Over 7,900 were manufactured, many of which saw service with the London Passenger Transport Board as the ST and STL classes.{{Cite book |last=Ward |first=Rod |title=AEC Album Part One: to 1945 |publisher=Zeteo Publishing |year=2007 |pages=21 |oclc=1014414977}} Other users included Bournemouth, Exeter, Glasgow and Leeds Corporations.
