In 1982, the ALICO building was designated a historical landmark by the Texas Historical Commission.{{r|THC}} In 2012, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Waco Downtown Historic District.{{refn|{{Cite web |date=2018-06-23 |title=Waco considers making ALICO building a local historic landmark |url=http://www.kxxv.com/story/35735651/waco-considers-making-alico-building-a-local-historic-landmark |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20220608000000/http://www.kxxv.com/story/35735651/waco-considers-making-alico-building-a-local-historic-landmark |archive-date=2022-06-08 |access-date=2022-06-08 |website=KXXV |language=en-US}} [https://megalodon.jp/2022-0608-1315-36/https://www.kxxv.com:443/story/35735651/waco-considers-making-alico-building-a-local-historic-landmark Alt URL]}}
