The Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) is a private, post-baccalaureate opera school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As of 2023, the AVA does not grant degrees, but rather Artist Diplomas to those who complete the full four-year course requirement. AVA is a tuition-free institution devoted solely to operatic training and performance.{{cite journal|title=Academy of Vocal Arts Marks Anniversary With Opera Extravaganza|author=Janet Berg|journal=American Music Teacher|volume=44|number=4|page=4|publisher=Music Teachers National Association|date=February 1995}} The school was founded in 1934 by Helen Corning Warden.[http://travel.nytimes.com/travel/guides/north-america/united-states/pennsylvania/philadelphia/attraction-detail.html?vid=1154654657102&scp=1&sq=Academy%20of%20Vocal%20Arts&st=cse New York Times 2008] {{webarchive |url=https://web.archive.org/web/20070820045152/http://travel.nytimes.com/travel/guides/north-america/united-states/pennsylvania/philadelphia/attraction-detail.html?vid=1154654657102&scp=1&sq=Academy%20of%20Vocal%20Arts&st=cse |date=August 20, 2007 }}
