Controversy

Actustar on 13 March 2001 published an alleged interview with Kyle Bradford, in which he claimed that he and actor Tom Cruise had a homosexual affair.[http://www.advocate.com/arts-entertainment/entertainment-news/2001/05/16/kyle-bradford-ltigtactustarltigt-both-denying-tom Advocate.com] The story also appeared in the Mexican tabloid TVyNovelas.{{cite news| url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/spanish/misc/newsid_1311000/1311376.stm|work=BBC News|title=Tom Cruise demanda a estrella porno|date=3 May 2001| accessdate=7 May 2010}} The affair supposedly occurred during Cruise's marriage to Nicole Kidman and Kidman's discovery of this secret relationship was related to their separation. Cruise categorically denied the story and sued Bradford (Chad Slater) for $10 million.[https://web.archive.org/web/20160304061303/https://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-75248591.html Cruise control - actor Tom Cruise sues porn star for defamation - Brief Article | Advocate, The | Find Articles at BNET]
