African Music is an annual peer-reviewed academic journal published by the International Library of African Music. It covers contextualized studies of African music and related arts. History
The journal was established by Hugh Tracey in 1954,{{cite web |last1=Open Music Library |title=Journals: African Music |url=https://openmusiclibrary.org/journal/african-music/ |website=Openmusiclibrary |publisher=Alexander Street |accessdate=28 November 2018}} in the same year as the International Library of African Music.
