Akbiyeh is an archaeological site approximately {{convert|12|km|mi}} south of Sidon, northeast of Ain Kantarah in Lebanon.{{cite book|author1=Lorraine Copeland|author2=P. Wescombe|title=Inventory of Stone-Age sites in Lebanon, p. 128-135|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=6YsRRwAACAAJ|access-date=21 July 2011|year=1965|publisher=Imprimerie Catholique}}{{Dead link|date=August 2023 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }} The area of black soil around {{convert|600|m|ft}} by {{convert|30|m|ft}} was found by Godefroy Zumoffen in 1894.{{cite book|author=Godefroy Zumoffen|title=La Phénicie avant les phéniciens: l'âge de la pierre|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=0noLAQAAIAAJ|access-date=7 August 2011|year=1900|publisher=Impr. catholique}} Material recovered is in the Museum of Lebanese Prehistory including four bifaces of Lower Paleolithic form along with a variety of material suggested to be Middle Paleolithic and Heavy Neolithic of the Qaraoun culture. These include a number of rectangular picks, rough cores and flakes in various conditions.
