Alcorn's pocket gopher (Pappogeomys bulleri alcorni) is a subspecies of the Buller's pocket gopher that is endemic to montane pine-oak forest between {{cvt|910|-|3,010|m|-3}} in the Sierra del Tigre of south Jalisco, Mexico.
Taxonomy
Previously thought to be its own species (as Pappogeomys alcorni), it has instead been assigned to subspecies level.{{cite mdd |title=Pappogeomys bulleri (O. Thomas, 1892) |id=1001875 |access-date=26 April 2023}}
Conservation
It is reputed to damage corn and bean fields and has been persecuted by farmers as a pest.
