Early life

The son of John Crozier (1870–1930){{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article202243364 |title=Family Notices |newspaper=The Age |issue=23,561 |location=Victoria, Australia |date=14 October 1930 |page=1}} and Agnes Catherine Crozier, nee Alexander (1879–1948),{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article22543176 |title=Family Notices |newspaper=The Argus |issue=31,727 |location=Melbourne |date=10 May 1948 |page=2}} Alexander Wilson Crozier was born at Kensington on 9 July 1904.

Football

Crozier joined Hawthorn at the start of the 1926 VFL season from Caulfield.{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article2073641 |title=NOTES TROM THE CLUBS. |newspaper=The Argus |location=Melbourne |date=3 April 1925 |page=6}} After spending almost all season in the reserves he played in the final game of the season against Melbourne.{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article3808153 |title=FOOTBALL. |newspaper=The Argus |location=Melbourne |date=10 September 1926 |page=5}} Despite not making the senior squad at the start of the year{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article3850782 |title=FOOTBALL. |newspaper=The Argus |location=Melbourne |date=25 April 1927 |page=7}} he was frequently named in the better players in the reserves in 1927 and played another three senior games.

Later life
