Career

Marque was in fine form at the 2013 Volta a Portugal, winning the ninth stage, a {{convert|35.6|km|abbr=off|adj=on}} individual time trial, before winning the race overall. This earned him a contract with the {{UCI team code|MOV|2014}} for the 2014 season.{{cite news|url=https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/marque-to-movistar-in-2014/|title=Marque to Movistar in 2014|work=Cyclingnews.com|publisher=Future plc|date=27 August 2013|accessdate=29 February 2020}} However, Marque tested positive for betamethasone during the race. Marque claimed that the UCI had known about the use of the substance as he had used in the days leading up to the race to treat a bad knee.
