Alex Sylvester Lindsay {{post-nominals|country=NZL|MBE|size=85%}} (28 May 1919 – 5 December 1974) was a New Zealand violinist, conductor and orchestra leader. In the 1959 New Year Honours, Lindsay was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire, for services to music, especially orchestral work.{{London Gazette |date=1 January 1959 |supp=3 |issue=41591|page=42}}
