Career

Lochhead started his career with Neilston Victoria and played club football for Third Lanark,{{cite journal|title=A Record of pre-war Scottish League Players|author=John Litster|journal=Scottish Football Historian|date=October 2012}} Morton, Everton and Clyde, and made one appearance for Scotland in 1889.{{cite book|title=Scotland Who's Who: International Players 1872–2013|author=Paul Smith|publisher=Pitch Publishing|year=2013|page=159}} He won the Scottish Cup with Third Lanark in 1889.
