Alexander Mirtchev

Committed to solving global challenges and developing sensible policies, Dr. Mirtchev has a long record of engagement with preeminent international think tanks. He also served as the executive chairman of RUSI International. Dr. MirtchevHe is also a member of The Royal Institute of International Affairs, commonly known as Chatham House.

The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars has been key venue for Dr. Mirtchev's academic endeavors. He has also served a Senior Fellow at the Wilson Center. From 1993 to 1999, he worked as the director of the International Business and Investment Division at the Law Offices of Stewart & Stewart, Washington, D.C., a top-rated Washington, D.C. law firm specializing in international trade remedy proceedings and WTO negotiations. Dr. Mirtchev's recent book “The Prologue: The Alternative Energy Megatrend in the Age of Great Power Competition” which analyzes the nexus between alternative energy, geopolitics, and national security. The Prologue has been hailed as a timely and unique perspective into the far reaching consequences of the transition to alternative energy and its 21st Century National Security Challenges and is published in English, Spanish, Russian and German.
