Alincthun ({{IPA|fr|alɛ̃ktœ̃}}) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France.

Geography

A small farming commune comprising 12 hamlets, some {{convert|10|mi|km}} east of Boulogne, at the junction of the D238e2 and the D137 roads. The river Liane flows through the village.

Transport

The Chemin de fer de Boulogne à Bonningues (CF de BB) opened a station serving Le Wast and Alincthun on 22 April 1900.{{sfn |Farebrother |Farebrother |2008 |p=139 }} Passenger services were withdrawn on 31 December 1935.{{sfn |Farebrother |Farebrother |2008 |p=239 }} They were reinstated in November 1942.{{sfn |Farebrother |Farebrother |2008 |p=248 }} The CF de BB closed in 1948.{{sfn |Farebrother |Farebrother |2008 |p=276 }}

Sights

  • The church of St. Denis, dating from the seventeenth century.
