All Sports Band was an American pop/rock musical group who saw minor chart success in the early 1980s. The band was founded by Tracy Coats, who sought to appeal to a youthful market by dressing the band members as sports figures.{{cite book |last=Nite |first=Norm N. |date=1985 |title=Rock On - The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Rock n' Roll |location=New York |publisher=Harper & Row |pages=8–9 |isbn=0-06-181644-2}} Coats spent 18 months auditioning tapes before selecting the band members. The represented sports were auto racing, baseball, boxing, football, and martial arts.{{cite news |author= |title=Bubbling Under the Hot 100 |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=9yQEAAAAMBAJ&dq=%22All+Sports+Band%22+I%27m+Your+Superman&pg=PT123 |newspaper=Billboard |date=November 14, 1981 |access-date=May 31, 2016}} The band appeared on both Solid Gold and American Bandstand.
