He has also been nominated and won several awards.

Early life and education
Toniks was born in Mbarara and started singing at school where he also learnt how to play the guitars. He went to Mbarara Preparatory School for primary, then joined King's College Budo for O Level and Ntare School for A Level{{cite web|title=Toniks Allan Ampaire : " There is no lucky girl so far; I am single "|url=http://mutaani.com/en/?p=46|accessdate=6 February 2015|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150207051543/http://mutaani.com/en/?p=46|archive-date=7 February 2015|url-status=dead|df=dmy-all}} before joining Makerere University Business School where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in International Business Studies in 2011.
Music

Toniks considers his style of music as Afro beat.
