Early years

Roberts was born in Fairfield, Alabama, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Roberts. Career

Roberts appeared in twelve movies from 1947 to 1954, and on TV in Four Star Playhouse, Adventures of Superman{{Cite web|url=https://www.supermansupersite.com/Allene_Roberts_Adventures_Superman_Passes_Away.html|title = "Adventures of Superman" Actress Allene Roberts Passes Away}} and Dragnet.{{Citation needed |date=June 2019}} Her first big picture was The Red House (1947) starring Rory Calhoun, Julie London and Edward G. Robinson. That movie was considered by the critics{{which|date=June 2019}} to be the "sleeper hit" of the year.{{Citation needed |date=October 2023}}

Death

On May 9, 2019, Roberts died in Huntsville, Alabama, at age 90.
