The Alliance of Social Democrats ({{langx|is|Bandalag jafnaðarmanna}}) was a social-democratic political party in Iceland. The party was founded by Vilmundur Gylfason and won four seats in the 1983 elections.

History

The party was established in 1983 by Vilmundur Gylfason, as a breakaway from the Social Democratic Party.Dieter Nohlen & Philip Stöver (2010) Elections in Europe: A data handbook, p965 {{ISBN|978-3-8329-5609-7}} It won four seats in the Althing in the April elections that year, although Vilmundur died later that year.
