Alpine is an unincorporated community in Columbia Township, Fayette County, Indiana.

History

The first sawmill in Columbia Township was built at Alpine in 1814.{{cite book | url=https://archive.org/stream/historyoffayette00barr#page/220/mode/2up | title=History of Fayette County, Indiana: Her People, Industries and Institutions | publisher=Bowen, B. Geography

Alpine is located on State Route 121 about {{Convert|6|mi}} south of Connersville.
