Anaerobic clarigester

The anaerobic clarigester is a form of anaerobic digester. It is regarded as being the ancestor of the upflow anaerobic sludge blanket digestion (UASB) anaerobic digester.[http://www.uasb.org/discover/agsb.htm UASB Homepage] {{webarchive |url=https://web.archive.org/web/20060706215607/http://www.uasb.org/discover/agsb.htm |date=July 6, 2006 }} A clarigester treats dilute biodegradable feedstocks and separates out solid and hydraulic (liquid) retention times. A diagram comparing the UASB, anaerobic clarigester and anaerobic contact processes can be found on the FAO website.http://www.fao.org/3/t0541e/T0541E02.GIF
