Paley's first solo effort was the album White Rooms, which he recorded with Matt Squire (who also produced The Static Age's Neon Nights Electric Lives album) at Phase Studios in College Park, Maryland "pretty soon after" The Static Age's sessions there.{{Cite web |last=Finn |date=2017-08-29 |title=Andrew Paley – Solo Album Sirens – Second Hand News |url=http://secondhandtouring.nz/2017/08/andrew-paley-solo-album-sirens/ |access-date=2023-06-12 |language=en-US}} However, Paley largely turned his attention back to The Static Age and didn't pursue solo work for a number of years.{{Cite web |date=2016-10-28 |title=Andrew Paley streams first single "Come Home" • Punk Rock Theory |url=https://www.punkrocktheory.com/news/andrew-paley-streams-first-single-come-home |access-date=2023-06-12 |website=Punk Rock Theory |language=en}} During this time, he continued to record songs on his own, but didn't release them.
