Angola Ferry
The Angola Ferry was a small and little-known ferry service that crossed the Mississippi River connecting Lettsworth, Louisiana with the Louisiana State Penitentiary, otherwise known as the Angola Prison.{{cite book |last1=|first1=|editor1-first=|editor1-last=|editor2-first=|editor2-last=|title=2007 Mississippi River Cairo to the Gulf Navigation Charts|trans-title=|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=9IFsBgAAQBAJ&q=us+army+engineers+angola+ferry&pg=RA2-PR21|accessdate=2014-12-26|publisher=USACE, Vicksburg District PAO|location=|isbn=|page=68}} It was considered difficult to access, requiring drivers to branch off the Louisiana Highway 418 on an unmarked gravel road and traveling several hundred yards thereafter. A good portion of the area's population was unaware of its existence because it serves mainly prison personnel traveling to and from work.{{Cite web|url=http://us.geoview.info/angola_ferry,132683864w|title=Angola Ferry|publisher=geoview.info|accessdate=2018-03-23}}
