Angreau ({{IPA|fr|ɑ̃ɡʁo}}; {{langx|wa|Angrea}}) is a village of Wallonia and district of the municipality of Honnelles, located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium.
History
The earliest mention of this locality is Angrellum (Latin: little Angre{{Cite book|title=Une Dynastie Secrete|last=Debiève|first=Gilles|publisher=Société des Ecrivains|year=2007|isbn=|location=|pages=63, 64|language=fr}}). In the first Middle Ages, Angreau was part of the stronghold of Angre,{{Cite book|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=-ldOIX8-2V4C&q=Angreau+commune+1250&pg=PA45|title=Dictionnaire national belge : historique, biographique, géographique, statistique, artistique, industriel et commercial|last=de Villers|first=Victor Doublet|publisher=Victor Doublet de Villers|year=1869|isbn=|location=Burxelles|pages=46|language=fr}} of which it was probably an outbuilding with a fortified tower.
