Angry Birds Fight! was a puzzle fighting game and the eleventh instalment in the Angry Birds series, co-developed by Rovio Entertainment and Kiteretsu Inc.[http://pc.kiteretsu.jp/en/ KITERETSU, Inc.] Retrieved 16 June 2015.{{incomplete short citation|date=May 2025}} The game was soft-launched in some Asian Pacific countries in early 2015 and the worldwide release was on June 11, 2015.{{cite web|url=https://www.forbes.com/sites/andyrobertson/2015/01/30/angry-birds-fight-review/|title="Angry Birds Fight!" is a Mix and Match RPG|work=Forbes}} In the game the player must match enough Angry Birds to earn enough power to defeat the enemy players and pigs. The game combines elements from tile-matching video games—such as Candy Crush—and role-playing video games (RPG).{{Cite web|last=Vincent|first=James|date=2015-06-11|title=Angry Birds Fight is a hybrid monster of Candy Crush and RPG gaming|url=https://www.theverge.com/2015/6/11/8764417/angry-birds-fight-global-launch|access-date=2021-06-22|website=The Verge|language=en}}

On August 1, 2017, the game was removed from the Play Store and App Store, with the game's servers permanently shutting down by that November.{{citation needed|date=May 2025}}

Gameplay

{{cleanup-rewrite|it contains a heavy amount of original research that relies on primary sources and may be difficult to properly source|section=yes|date=May 2025}}

Players are pitted in matches that are either real-time player-vs-player battles or against a computer-controlled opponent using their selected avatars which are bird team (that are unlocked through gameplay) or pig team (that are unlocked through slots). The gameplay is divided into two stages: Matching and Combat.{{citation needed|date=May 2025}}

The Matching stage starts with a 7x7 board layout which appears the same for both players.{{cite video game |title = Angry Birds Fight |developer = Kiteretsu |publisher = Rovio |platform = Android |scene = Hints |level = Start Screen |quote =You and your opponent have the same puzzle panel layout}} To make progress, players must move the panel to match 3 of the same colored panels for 45 seconds. Every matched row of panels will erase them from the board and give the birds a boost of either attack or defense, the strength of the boost depending on the type of birds being matched.

If a player is able to match 4 of the panels that are the same as their chosen birds, it will trigger a Sabotage which will disrupt the opponent's gameplay.{{efn|Attributed to multiple references:{{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote = Match 4 panels the same as your chosen bird to trigger a Sabotage upon your opponent}}{{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote = Red sabotages opponents by raining down wooden panels}}{{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote = Chuck sabotages opponents by creating a line of holes}}{{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote = By matching panels, you can recover the panels painted by The Blues' sabotage }}{{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote = Bomb sabotages opponents by causing an explosion and burying opponent's panels under ashes}}{{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote = Stella sabotages opponents by making floaty bubbles }}{{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote = Matilda sabotages opponents by dropping an egg and making holes }}}} The Sabotage effect depends on the chosen bird of the player who triggers the Sabotage.

If the players manage to match 5 matching panels of any bird, the Fever Time is activated, where the player's attack and defense boosts from matching panels will be doubled for a short time.{{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote = Match 5 panels to start Fever Time! Attack and defense will be doubled! }}

After the matching stage ends, the combat stage starts. The two birds will fight in the arena with the stats gained during the matching stage until one of them has their attack power or health run out, which is when they stop fighting, and the winner is declared. The winner will be the one with the most health left, or the one that has its health stat above 0. If both of the birds are still left with the defenses, the match will be considered as a draw. After a match is over, players earn experience to slowly level up and may randomly obtain new equipment.{{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote = You can get equipment after fighting}} The equipment equipped may give some edges in the battle as different items give different effects to the players during the matching stage.{{citation needed|date=May 2025}}

There were two currencies, earned in-game; gold and gems. Gold is used to slightly enhance existing equipment {{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote = Enhance items to make them even more powerful!}} and gems may be used to give more gameplay turns or play the slot machine which awards powerful equipment.{{cite video game | title = Angry Birds Fight | developer = Kiteretsu | publisher = Rovio | platform = Android | scene = Hints | level = Start Screen | quote =Get powerful items unique to each bird from slot to greatly enhance your power!}}
