The Annecy Round was a multi-year multilateral trade negotiation (MTN) between 26 nation-states that were parties to the GATT. This second round took place in 1949 in the Imperial Hotel [http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imp%C3%A9rial_Palace] in Annecy, France. 13 countries took part in the round. The main focus of the talks was more tariff reductions, around 5,000 in total.{{cite news |title=HISTORY OF GATT ROUNDS |url=https://www.joc.com/history-gatt-rounds_19931214.html |publisher=JOC.com |date=14 December 1993}}{{cite journal |last1=Irwin |first1=Douglas A. |last2=Bown |first2=Chad P. |title=The GATT's Starting Point: Tariff Levels Circa 1947 |date=1 December 2015 |ssrn=2704473 |journal=CEPR Discussion Paper No. DP10979}}{{cite journal |doi=10.1093/oxfordhb/9780199586103.013.0006|year=2012|last1=Zeiler|first1=Thomas W.|title=The Expanding Mandate Of The Gatt: The First Seven Rounds|journal=The Oxford Handbook on the World Trade Organization}}
