After World War II ended, Allcock worked as a film animator producing cinema adverts and short pieces for the Ministry of Information. After raising her own children, she returned to work by designing charity greeting cards from home. She also illustrated a number of children's books for the Methuen publishing house. Between 1978 and 1986, Allcock was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions in London.{{cite web |author=|url=https://chronicle250.com/index/exhibitors/Aj-Al|title=The Summer Exhibition: A chronicle 1769-2018|date=1 July 2015|accessdate=24 October 2019|work=The Royal Academy}} Allcock also exhibited with the Royal West of England Academy and at the Beaux Arts Gallery in Bath and elsewhere in Britain. She died in Somerset in May 2001 at the age of 77.{{cite web |title=Annette Allcock (1923–2002) |url=https://www.maryevans.com/artists.php |publisher=Maryevans |access-date=16 March 2021}}[https://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=7579&h=1970819&tid=&pid=&queryId=3c7f172d1434cc210e2ca42b647c6057&usePUB=true&_phsrc=OzZ13987&_phstart=successSource Annette Allcock in the England & Wales, Civil Registration Death Index, 1916–2007][https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/Wills?Surname=Allcock&SurnameGrants=Allcock&YearOfDeath=2001&YearOfDeathGrants=2001&IsGrantSearch=True&IsCalendarSearch=False&page=2#wills Probate: Allcock, Annette, 02 July 2001]
