Annihilate 'em (April 11, 1970 – November 20, 1989) was a U.S. thoroughbred race horse who was best known for winning the 1973 Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. Annihilate 'em was ridden to victory in the Travers by Ron Turcotte, who originally planned to ride Triple Crown winner Secretariat in the race. However, Secretariat missed the race due to poor health after losing the Whitney Stakes to Onion two weeks earlier while running with a low-grade fever.{{cite news | author =Joe Nichols | title =Annihilate 'Em Takes Travers Before 32,023 | publisher =The New York Times | date =August 19, 1973 | url =https://www.nytimes.com/1973/08/19/archives/annihilate-em-takes-travers-before-32023-blass-colt-triumphs-in.html | access-date=2009-05-19}} Annihilate 'Em and Secretariat met in their only race together in the Marlboro Cup Invitational Handicap in September 1973, where Secretariat finished first and Annihilate 'Em finished fifth.{{cite news|author=Whitney Tower |title=They Made Pigeons Of The Field |publisher=Sports Illustrated |date=September 24, 1973 |url=https://vault.si.com/vault/1973/09/24/they-made-pigeons-of-the-field/ |access-date=2009-05-19 |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090606235622/http://vault.sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1087811/index.htm |archive-date=June 6, 2009 }}
