Club career

Hoogendijk came to prominence aged 12, as a contestant on the "Geef Nooit Op" (Never Give Up) TV program.{{cite web|url=http://en.archive.dr.infra.uefa.com/competitions/woco/players/Player=62466/index.html |title=Anouk Hoogendijk |access-date=24 July 2013 |work=UEFA |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20151206160322/http://en.archive.dr.infra.uefa.com/competitions/woco/players/Player%3D62466/index.html |archive-date=6 December 2015 }} She wished to train with FC Utrecht and, after a spell with Saestum, eventually signed for Utrecht at the outset of the Eredivisie Vrouwen in 2007. Hoogendijk realised her ambition of playing abroad when she signed an eight-month contract with English WSL club Bristol Academy in January 2011.{{cite web|url=http://www.ad.nl/ad/nl/3562/Voetbal/article/detail/566015/2011/02/01/Anouk-Hoogendijk-maakt-zich-op-voor-Engels-avontuur.dhtml|title=Anouk Hoogendijk maakt zich op voor Engels avontuur |publisher=AD Sportwereld|accessdate=1 February 2011|date=1 February 2011|language=Dutch}}

In February 2012 Hoogendijk returned to Utrecht, before moving on to newly formed Ajax Vrouwen in May 2012. The transfer represented "a dream come true" for Hoogendijk as she had been a girlhood supporter of Ajax's male team.{{cite web|url=http://www.at5.nl/artikelen/81830/ook-anouk-hoogendijk-naar-ajax|title=Ook Anouk Hoogendijk naar Ajax |publisher=AT5|accessdate=24 July 2013|date=28 May 2012|language=Dutch}}

In January 2014, Hoogendijk signed for the English club Arsenal Ladies. However, due to persistent injuries she only played in 3 matches during that season in London.{{cite web|url=http://www.vrouwenvoetbalnieuws.nl/anouk-hoogendijk-plezier-weer-terug/|title=ANOUK HOOGENDIJK: "IK HEB HET PLEZIER WEER TERUG"|language=Dutch|website=Vrouwen Voetbal Nieuws.nl}}{{Dead link|date=September 2019 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }}{{cite web|url=http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/anouk-hoogendijk-joins-arsenal-ladies|title=Anouk Hoogendijk joins Arsenal Ladies|accessdate=25 July 2016|work=Arsenal.com|publisher=Arsenal}}{{cite web|url=http://www.nusport.nl/voetbal/3673978/anouk-hoogendijk-verruilt-ajax-arsenal.html|title=Anouk Hoogendijk verruilt Ajax voor Arsenal|accessdate=25 July 2016|publisher=Nu.nl|archive-date=20 February 2014|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140220080651/http://www.nusport.nl/voetbal/3673978/anouk-hoogendijk-verruilt-ajax-arsenal.html|url-status=dead}} In July 2014, Hoogendijk eventually returned for the 2014–15 season to Ajax Vrouwen.{{cite web|url=http://www.ajax.nl/streams/ajax-actueel/hoogendijk-second-acquisition-for-womens-team.htm|title=Hoogendijk second acquisition for women's team|accessdate=25 July 2016|work=Ajax.nl|publisher=AFC Ajax}} On 30 May 2016, she announced on her Instagram official account one-year extension of contract with Ajax Vrouwen.{{cite web|url=https://www.instagram.com/p/BGBljKwyNOS/ |archive-url=https://ghostarchive.org/iarchive/s/instagram/BGBljKwyNOS |archive-date=24 December 2021 |url-access=registration|title=Blij dat ik nog een jaar voor @afcajax ga spelen!|accessdate=25 July 2016|work=Instagram|publisher=Anouk Hoogendijk on Instagram}}{{cbignore}}
