Antistea is a genus of dwarf sheet spiders that was first described by Eugène Simon in 1898.{{cite book|last=Simon|first=E|year=1898|title=Histoire naturelle des araignées|doi=10.5962/bhl.title.51973}} {{as of|2019|05}} it contains only two species: A. brunnea and A. elegans. Combined, they have a Holarctic distribution, one Palearctic and the other Nearctic.{{cite journal|title=Gen.
