Aphantochilus is a genus of ant-mimicking crab spiders that was first described by Octavius Pickard-Cambridge in 1871.{{cite journal| last=Pickard-Cambridge| first=O.| year=1871| title=On some new genera and species of Araneida| journal=Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London| pages=728–747| volume=38| author-link=Octavius Pickard-Cambridge}} {{as of|2020|06}} it contains three species, found in Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina, and Panama: A. cambridgei, A. inermipes, and A. rogersi.{{cite journal |title=Gen.
