He migrated to Istanbul with his family at age of 10.
Lermi, who generally performs Turkish folk songs, published his first album named Kalandar[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySphki4lD68&list=PL630-q6V5tZDqg2kjKVl53Z1vR-WKW51C Apolas Lermi Kalandar] in 2011. He has also recorded songs sung in Romeyka.
