Career
Mandal is an Iloilo native and sanda athlete who has fought and achieved medals in local, international, and world championship levels of competition. Specifically, he earned gold and silver medals in the 13th, 14th, and 15th World Wushu Championships{{cite web |last1=Galvez |first1=Waylon |title=Wushu artists hoping for return of events |url=https://mb.com.ph/2021/03/04/wushu-artists-hoping-for-return-of-events/?amp |website=Manila Bulletin |access-date=23 August 2023}} and the 8th and 9th Sanda World Cups.
