Arvo Volmer

Volmer was principal conductor of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra{{cite news|url=http://www.hs.fi/english/article/Finnish+music+lovers+discover+Tallinn/1101980936482|title=International Edition - Culture|date=9 May 2005|work=Helsingin Sanomat|accessdate=14 June 2010}} from 1993 to 2001. From 2004 to 2012, Volmer combined his Adelaide duties with the posts of music director and principal conductor of the Estonian National Opera in Tallinn.[http://www.opera.ee/19855 Estonian National Opera web site] {{webarchive |url=https://web.archive.org/web/20091010050104/http://www.opera.ee/19855 |date=October 10, 2009 }} He has also been guest conductor of many orchestras, especially in Scandinavia. Among his recordings are the complete orchestral works of Leevi Madetoja and the complete symphonies of Eduard Tubin and Jean Sibelius.
