Assistant was an intelligent personal assistant application for mobile devices developed by Speaktoit. Originally launched in October 2011{{cite web |last=Warman |first=Matt |title=Speaktoit Android App Review |url=https://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/mobile-app-reviews/8823587/SpeakToIt-Android-app-review.html |work=www.nytimes.com |access-date=29 October 2012 |date=13 October 2011}} for the Android platform, Assistant was later made available on iOS and Windows Phones. Assistant used natural language processing and speech recognition to interact with its users and was able to have clarifying conversations.
