The Astor Court Building is a 12-story, 164 unit apartment building on Broadway between West 89th Street and 90th Street on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City, built in 1916. It was designed by architect Charles A. Platt for developer Vincent Astor.{{cite news |url=https://www.nytimes.com/1916/04/23/archives/vincent-astors-new-broadway-apartment-noteworthy-addition-on-the.html |title=Vincent Astor's New Building Noteworthy Addition to the West Side |work=The New York Times |date=April 23, 1916 |accessdate=October 28, 2022}} The twelve-story building is constructed around a landscaped courtyard. Architectural historian Christopher Gray believes that the landscape architect may have been Ellen Biddle Shipman.{{cite news |title=89th Street and Broadway; In a 1916 Astor Building, a Private Garden Grows |first=Christopher |last=Gray |work=The New York Times |date=July 1, 2001 |url=https://www.nytimes.com/2001/07/01/realestate/streetscapes-89th-street-broadway-1916-astor-building-private-garden-grows.html |accessdate=October 28, 2022}} The building became a co-op in 1985.
